We’re an employee-owned company based in Birmingham in our 11th year of helping patients find cancer simply, quickly and accurately. We research, design and manufacture all products from our Quinton HQ, having supplied over 50 million test kits to dozens of NHS sites, every major UK private healthcare group and exporting to 38 countries worldwide. We’re looking for talented and driven people to help us achieve our vision of everyone on earth having access to simple, fast and accurate non-invasive cancer testing.

Role purpose

You will be the right-hand of the CEO and a trusted sounding board - turning ideas into reality, managing projects and making the most of their time.

Key responsibilities

  • Turning ideas into structured action: This could mean developing a presentation, challenging a strategic idea, researching a new investment, mapping a market or improving a process.
  • Organisation: Helping organise the CEO's and deal with practical or administrative tasks, including turning ideas for team culture and recognition into action.
  • Operating Cadence: Supporting the leadership team by maintaining a clear record of actions, tracking progress and helping remove blockers. The right person will earn their place in the room, bringing opinions to key leadership topics.
  • Productivity: Increasing the usage of AI and productivity tools to improve the quality and speed of the CEO's outputs.

Interview Process

  • 1:1 with the CEO: Discuss company & career history, highlight expectations and determine mutual suitability (15 mins)
  • Presentation creation: create a presentation based on subject matter shared in advance, turning a language-based brief into a visual-based presentation (60 mins)
  • Turning ideas into reality: our CEO will bring a genuine idea or problem not fully worked through, so you can ask questions, structure ambiguity, challenge their thinking and help move the idea towards a practical outcome
  • 1:1 with the CEO: Frank and in-depth session discussing our plans for the organisation and how candidates’ unique strengths and development areas will contribute (60 mins)

Compensation

  • Base salary between £40,000 - £50,000 depending on seniority
  • 3% company pension contribution, rising to 7% after 3 years’ service
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
