Informed Genomics Limited seeks a passionate and talented Bioinformatics Developer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in advancing genomic research and personalised medicine.

As our Bioinformatician, you will build, test and deploy tools and pipelines to support Clinical Scientists and evaluate market-disrupting sequencing platforms and technology, whilst contributing to the company’s goal of delivering a robust, scalable LIMS-integrated bioinformatics platform.

  • Build and deploy bioinformatic tools and workflows.
  • Explore novel bioinformatic approaches to improve the sensitivity and specificity of NGS-based assays.
  • Support the validation and verification of bioinformatics tools for clinical service.
  • Development of secure API calls for LIMS integration.
  • Support data management processes.
  • Operational and system administration support of cloud infrastructure.
  • Support code deployment processes and produce documentation, including writing standard operating procedures, to adhere to ISO15189.
  • Complete and submit on time all requested reports, analysis, presentations, and other requested information.
  • Support cost monitoring of bioinformatic processes.
  • Support Quality Management functions (e.g., CAPA, clinical audits)
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Familiarity with workflow languages such as WDL, NextFlow, CWL or Snakemake.
  • Experience with Python, package management, and containerisation
  • R and statistical analysis of large biological data sets.
  • Desirable to have experience with DNAnexus Titan cloud platform and cloud administration (e.g., Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with version control (e.g. Git, SVN)

You will hold a Degree in Computer Science or a Health Informatics discipline OR in relevant Biological Science with demonstrable abilities in computing. It would be considered favourable should you have an MSc or PhD in bioinformatics and/or experience from within a healthcare setting or other regulated environment.
