We’re working exclusively with a boutique investment bank looking to hire aVP-level Equity Macro Strategist to join their Global Macro Strategy team in London. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly collaborative team offering exceptional flexibility, with fewer layers of bureaucracy than your typical investment bank, and a truly non-siloed environment. You’ll have the freedom to develop your skills and contribute broadly, with a flexible schedule that includes up totwo days of remote work per week.
The Opportunity:
This role sits at the forefront of the firm’s expansion into equity research, adding a new dimension to its established macro strategy offering. In addition to developing the equity strategy function, you’ll be involved in the bank’s strategic efforts to grow its presence in the US market, this will include business travel to the US a few times per year.
You’ll report directly to the Head of Macro Strategy, who brings experience from three of the world’s leading investment banks, offering strong mentorship and clear development pathways for career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct top-down equity strategy research across the US, Europe, and Asia
- Produce macro-driven and investment-relevant equity research
- Develop and articulate equity views within a broader asset allocation framework
- Collaborate across asset classes to support cross-asset positioning and strategy
- Present to and engage with institutional clients, contributing to market discussions
- Support the firm’s strategic expansion into the US market through research and client engagement
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong academic background in economics, finance, or a related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in macro equity strategy
- Deep understanding of global macroeconomic trends and equity markets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client-facing settings
- A collaborative mindset and strong interest in global markets
