ROLE SUMMARY AND OVERVIEW:
Our client is a leading mid-market IB, which is looking for an exceptional Assistant Director to join its generalist M&A team to help accelerate its growth ambitions, particularly in relation to cross-sector private M&A transactions. The role will include:
- Managing the execution of M&A transactions, including takeovers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other related activities.
- Pitching specific M&A ideas to clients.
- Reviewing and preparing financial and valuation models in relation to potential transactions.
- Working with sector and sponsor coverage teams.
- Drafting and providing input to relevant transaction documents.
- Taking responsibility for key internal M&A processes.
- Taking a significant role in the training and development of junior team members.
Key capabilities and knowledge:
The best candidate will have good experience in M&A transactions, strong project management skills, good communication and team skills, and a strongly analytical mindset.
The Assistant Director will have the following attributes:
- A minimum of a 2.1 degree or equivalent from a top university.
- 4+ yearsβ M&A experience from an investment bank, boutique, or accountancy firm.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and project management skills.
