Overview
As Regulatory Reporting VP at Nomura, you will lead regulatory reporting activities across EMEA, translating complex rules into actionable requirements. You will collaborate with Compliance, Technology and business units to ensure timely, accurate reporting and remediation. You’ll drive impact analyses, gap assessments and governance for major regulatory initiatives. This role offers influence across jurisdictions, shaping how Nomura remains compliant in a dynamic regulatory environment. You’ll work with cross‑regional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions that support the firm’s risk and compliance objectives.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Compliance on regulatory interpretation for all EMEA changes and cross-regional impacts
- Conduct gap analyses comparing current reporting to post-change requirements across booking models
- Perform root cause analyses and impact assessments for regulatory breaches across jurisdictions
- Lead remediation efforts with technology teams to design and implement solutions
- Update procedures, RCSA documentation, and traceability post-regulatory changes
- Coordinate with offshore teams to develop and execute UAT test scenarios and cases
- Oversee UAT processes and regional sign-offs; conduct post-release checks
- Lead project governance for regulatory reporting initiatives and manage new initiatives reporting
- Demonstrate involvement in key regulatory programmes
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with key stakeholders and support BAU audits and regulator engagements
- Lead regular updates to stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and compliance maintained
Key requirements
- Regulatory knowledge across MiFID (RTS 22 and RTS 1&2), EMIR, SFTR, and Central Bank Reporting (BoE and BoI)
- Ability to interpret regulatory texts and translate into actionable requirements
- Experience with controls and processes in financial markets
- Proven regulatory change management experience, especially EMIR and SFTR
