Overview
As MFA Product Owner, you will own the MFA strategy within Nomura’s IAM program, guiding the design, rollout, and migration of authentication solutions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, user-friendly access controls at scale. This role sits at the core of our security and digital transformation journey, shaping how employees and systems authenticate across the enterprise. You’ll drive a risk-based conditional access approach and oversee a transformation initiative to improve security posture and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Own the product backlog and drive agile deliverables
- Lead MFA migration from Cisco DUO and RSA SecurID to Microsoft Authenticator
- Provide technical coaching to a team of SME engineers
- Collaborate with architecture teams to design robust MFA solutions
- Develop and enforce a risk-based conditional access policy
- Implement monitoring and reporting on MFA usage and effectiveness
- Perform risk assessments and propose remediation for IAM vulnerabilities
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Computer Science or Information Technology; Master preferred
- Several years in Identity and Access Management with MFA focus
- Experience as a Product Owner managing a prioritized backlog
- Experience with financial institutions and regulatory security requirements
- Hands-on experience with Cisco DUO, RSA SecurID, and Microsoft Authenticator (beneficial)
- Strong knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect; enterprise security frameworks
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA desirable
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
