The candidate will have experience of fund structures, have a working knowledge of checking capacity and authority of fund entities (including partnerships) in different jurisdictions, and experience of negotiating, and understanding, typical fund related termination triggers.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the front office business team, and the candidate will be comfortable interacting with, and explaining risk, to front office team members and internal stakeholders. The candidate will be used to working to tight deadlines, will thrive in a fast paced environment, will have strong organizational skills and will be proactive in enhancing processes.

Key Experience would include:

  • Excellent knowledge of negotiating ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs, guarantees, and long form confirmations with counterparties;
  • Familiarity with negotiating master agreements in the context of fund structures (including with private debt/equity funds, limited partnerships and other types of fund entities);
  • Collaborating closely with business teams;
  • Providing guidance on capacity, authority and netting issues in derivatives transactions and additional language required in market standard master agreements; and
  • Supporting the team in managing and prioritizing multiple negotiations, whilst ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

The candidate would have the following key skills:

  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to balance a large workload and fast changing priorities;
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to co-ordinate with fellow negotiators, explain risk and flag issues to front office teams and internal stakeholders;
  • Ability to effectively coordinate across stakeholders;
  • Excellent attention to detail whilst under pressure; and
  • Proactive desire to improve processes and workflows.
