Department Overview: Nomura’s EMEA Legal, Compliance & Controls (LCC) department works to offer advice, guidance and oversight to the business on all matters related to regulatory compliance in the region. The team works very closely with all departments across the firm and with other LCC teams in Nomura globally to offer consistent advice and solutions in a rapidly changing and evolving regulatory environment. The EMEA Compliance Training team is responsible for ensuring LCC training is issued to the correct audience across EMEA (and sometimes cross border) to an agreed schedule and that training is correctly tracked and logged. Relevant reporting on training is another key part of the team’s role.

Overview:

  • Key project management and BAU role for the administration, expansion and enhancement of a question based learning tool – (Cognexo)
  • Stakeholder management for the design and implementation of question banks for inclusion in Cognexo aligned with the annual training plan
  • Using Training Needs Analysis information to determine learning objectives
  • Maintaining the annual training plan and ensuring timely rollout of courses and questions in line with the plan
  • Writing effective questions for inclusion in Cognexo and the continued maintenance of those questions
  • Working closely with the Cognexo vendor to ensure the smooth administration and enhancement of the tool
  • Analysing and interpreting data analytics from Cognexo and suggesting appropriate actions
  • Providing support to the in house Instructional Designer when building effective online learning solutions using in-house tools
  • Delivering adhoc online and face to face training sessions

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

Essential:

  • A proven track record of designing and delivering training in a professional environment
  • Proven ability to deliver both face to face and virtual training
  • Ability to analyse processes and procedures and turn those into effective training solutions
  • Ability to determine training needs and identify suitable solutions
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management
  • Very strong written and oral English language skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks according to the needs of the team
  • Strong analytical, written and communication skills
  • Ability to work with and engage with staff at all levels
  • Ability to adapt quickly to internal and external change
  • Strong PowerPoint and Outlook experience
  • MS Word and Excel experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt quickly to changing demands of the role

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a Financial Services training team; preferably in a Compliance
  • Experience working with eLearning authoring tools ‘TAP’ or other relevant training qualifications in design and / or delivery
