The HR Business Partner is a key advisor to the EMEA Corporate business, providing proactive guidance, coaching and direction on all people issues and efficient HR service delivery in partnership with HR Specialist teams across a comprehensive range of HR disciplines and transformational projects. Relationship management is at the centre of this role and is crucial to its success.
Role Description
- Project Support: work alongside the HR Director and support with project work, ad-hoc delivery on projects and co-ordination of prioritization.
- Business Relationship Management: develop and maintain an effective and focused relationship with the client group, providing timely and accurate advice and support on all HR related issues.
- Employee Relations: Provide managers with advice and manage a range of Employee Relations cases - including grievances, disciplinary, dismissal and redundancy.
- Management Information and Reporting: Management of a variety of data sources to ensure accurate reporting and presenting MI to stakeholders.
- Change Management: Guide business managers through change management initiatives including restructuring. This will include a number of international/global team projects.
- Learning & Performance: support the performance management cycle and promotion process, contribute to the development of Wholesale Talent Management offering in collaboration with specialist colleagues.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required
- Proven ability and desire to build strong relationships as a trusted advisor to a demanding client group.
- Experienced HR professional who is able to operate confidently with senior level clients in a challenging, fast paced environment.
- Experience within the professional or financial services sector, ideally banking or investment banking.
- Strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage end-to-end processes.
- Commercial awareness and ability to evaluate people risk.
- Practical experience managing employee relations issues and complex compensation structures desirable.
- Providing support and advice on all HR disciplines (Recruitment, Reward, Employee Relations, Learning and Performance).
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and relationships.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Strong PC skills; Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
