Overview
The role will report to the Head of International Payroll working closely with the other members of the payroll team within HR. The Payroll Administrator will assist with the day-to-day activities of the UK payroll function. The candidate will be expected to have a detailed knowledge of payroll processing and statutory obligations together with good excel skills.
- UK monthly payroll in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain up to date knowledge of Payroll legislation and internal policies
- Answering day to day payroll queries together with keeping the shared mailbox up to date and dealing with employee queries
- Calculate manual salary and PAYE calculations
- Raising 3rd party, currency and ad hoc payments and booking to the relevant nominals.
- Running the share option reports together with checking against funds that have been received
- Payroll preparation
- Processing Dubai payroll together with currency payments
- Perform reconciliations for each group company using excel and Payroll reports
- Posting group company journals and the distribution of reports to relevant entity.
- Statutory Leave calculations
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting with payroll transition to Cloud Pay, parallel runs and data transition activities
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- UK payroll experience, ideally within a Financial institution.
- The ability to deal effectively with people at all levels, internal and external to HR.
- Excel to intermediate level (use of v-lookups, pivot tables).
- Experience of working with an outsourced Payroll provider.
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- Previous experience of Resource Link and Cognos reporting desirable.
- EMEA Payroll knowledge desirable
- CIPP qualification desirable
- Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Knowledge of payroll transitions to other vendors desirable
