EMEA Cost Management Analytics (CMA) is a team of specialists leading financial analysis, contributing as a member of the EMEA Finance team to the success of the firm. The EMEA Finance department is a collaborative environment with a strong conduct and risk culture. The Cost Management & Analytics team is responsible for helping to drive cost efficiency through the analysis and MI reporting of the Nomura Group’s expense base, including global investment expenditure and subsequent returns.
Role Description
- Manage production of monthly Global Investment Spend and related benefits, track MI and underlying analytical schedules.
- Act as a business partner to transformation office and other stakeholders across the firm.
- Provide insightful data analysis to deliver high quality understanding of the underlying cost base and drivers of budget variances.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecast cycle.
- Respond to data queries from stakeholders, create one-off MI, maintain governance packs.
- Contribute new ideas for fresh analysis, improvement of process and for making better use of technology.
- Set up and lead improvements in reporting processes and analytics for both regional and global investments.
- Manage production of monthly MI.
- Manage full financial management of regional technology and operations cost base, overseeing offshore support in accounting and booking technology and operations expense.
- Provide management reporting by analysing complex financial data and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
