Your mission at NomuPay is to build the future of global payments. As a fast-growing fintech operating in a fully cloud-based, 24/7 regulated environment, we are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to become the technical right hand to our Head of IT. This is a newly created, high-impact role where you'll take ownership of our day-to-day infrastructure, lead technical projects, and act as the senior escalation point for complex issues across our global business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Infrastructure & Cloud
- Own and optimise our Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID.
- Manage Microsoft Intune and endpoint security across Windows, macOS and mobile devices.
- Support and maintain our Azure, AWS and GCP cloud environments.
- Manage identity, access management and Conditional Access policies.
- Support both Windows and Linux workloads across our cloud platforms.
- Ensure the availability, performance and resilience of business-critical systems operating 24/7.
- Operational Excellence
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
- Troubleshoot incidents across cloud platforms, SaaS applications and endpoint technologies.
- Maintain high-quality documentation, technical standards and operational runbooks.
- Identify technical debt and implement continuous improvements.
- Drive automation, monitoring and platform reliability initiatives.
- Security & Compliance
- Support PCI-DSS compliance and audit activities.
- Maintain secure infrastructure configurations and best practices.
- Partner with Information Security and Compliance teams to manage risk.
- Proactively identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
- Project Delivery
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery.
- Deliver cloud migrations, platform improvements and new technology implementations.
- Roll out new tools and services across our global workforce.
- Continuously improve device management and security capabilities.
- Business Partnership
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business.
- Communicate technical concepts in a clear and practical way.
- Remain calm and decisive when managing critical incidents.
Your profile
What We're Looking For
You'll have at least 5 years' experience in IT Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, always-on environment. You'll bring hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID)
- Microsoft Intune and endpoint management
- Azure infrastructure and cloud services
- AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
- Windows and Linux administration
- macOS support within enterprise environments
- Identity and access management
- Cloud networking and infrastructure best practices
Ideally, you'll also have experience working within regulated environments, with exposure to PCI-DSS or similar compliance frameworks.
