The Role: Nominet is seeking an experienced PMO lead who will play a key role in:

  • Defining and maintaining investment lifecycle delivery methods across a hybrid estate as we transition from Waterfall to Agile ways of working
  • Providing quality assurance, reporting and support for the demand and delivery portfolios as they manage initiatives through the lifecycle.
  • Running enabling processes in capacity planning, budgeting & resource scheduling

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Establish end-to-end investment lifecycle delivery methods from Strategy through to benefits realisation across Agile & Waterfall ways of working
  • Work with existing methods, governance and team to develop a transition plan from current to target state methods
  • Build community to foster best practice, lessons learnt and consistent approach to refine investment lifecycle delivery methods continually

Stakeholder Management

  • Support Executives/Sponsors in their roles and that they understand the methods and accountabilities
  • Ensure that communications and reporting are in place to support business objectives across stakeholders, change and progress.
  • Ensure that communications and reporting meet the needs of the Executive/Sponsors and adjust as needed

Planning, Governance & Reporting

  • Establish a regular cadence of timetable and meetings to drive reporting and control of the portfolios
  • Manage supporting PMO processes across resourcing, budgeting & estimating, scheduling, quality control, reporting
  • Accountable for document repository and clear guidance on use of tools & templates to support methods & processes
  • Work with delivery community to review materials regularly and before decision points within the lifecycle for quality and appropriateness to support actions & approvals
  • Help identify and support Head of Transformation and Executives/Sponsors where interventions are required to support progress and resolve blockers to progress escalating as appropriate to resolve in a timely manner

About You:

  • Delivers high-quality work at short notice and to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrable experience operating across both agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and waterfall (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP) delivery frameworks, with the ability to translate fluently between the two
  • Project management experience – have worked on multiple projects across a range of industries and performed a range of roles through their career, giving exposure to all aspects of delivery
  • Proficient with portfolio and project management tooling (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Miro, MS Project)
