Job Title: Journalist

Location: Moira

Employment Type: Permanent

The role is office based 4 days a week / 1 day working from home (after training).

The Right Client: Nominate Recruitment are thrilled to be partnering with a successful publication company specializing in Policy and Business in Moira. They are now seeking a Journalist to join the team.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £28k – £30k (will depend on level of experience)

Location & Travel

Own transport is essential. The role will be primarily based in our Maghaberry office but will require work in Dublin on an ad-hoc basis.

Essential Criteria / Qualifications

• A formal journalism qualification OR recent journalism experience and strong news judgment, with the ability to work calmly under pressure
• A track record in delivering original journalism
• The ability to produce strong analytical material under tight deadlines
• Interview experience
• A highly motivated, self-starting attitude
• Strong proofreading skills and the ability to write clear, concise copy for multiple platforms
• An understanding of how audiences consume content
• A detailed knowledge of politics, current affairs, and public policy in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
• A firm grasp of local government, strong digital skills and a track record of great ideas
