Hours of work: 2 days per week – 16 hours per week Employment Type- Permanent Part Time The Right Client- Nominate Recruitment are thrilled to be partnering with Angel Eyes NI- a parent-led charity supporting children and young people with vision impairment across Northern Ireland, and their families. They are now seeking a skilled and proactive Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of both the charity and our trading subsidiary. This is a critical role offering the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a values-driven organisation with a strong social impact. The Right role: * Financial Oversight: Manage all financial operations for Angel Eyes NI and Empatheyes, including budgets, forecasting, and monitoring cash flow. * Management Accounts: Prepare timely monthly management accounts for both entities, working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees. * Payroll and Pensions: Process monthly payroll and manage pension contributions and reporting. * VAT and Compliance: Prepare VAT returns for Empatheyes and ensure all statutory obligations and charity finance compliance are met. * Audit and Reporting: Liaise with external accountants and auditors, preparing year-end accounts and ensuring audit readiness. * Strategic Support: Advise the CEO and Board on financial performance, risk, and financial strategy. * Systems and Processes: Maintain and improve financial procedures, internal controls, and use of financial systems (currently QuickBooks). * Fund Management: Track restricted/unrestricted funding and provide financial reports for funders as required. * Charity Governance The Right Fit: * Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by extensive demonstrable experience in a similar senior finance role. * At least 3 years’ experience in charity, social enterprise, or SME financial management. * Strong working knowledge of payroll, VAT, and charity finance best practice. * High level of proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks desirable) and Excel. * Proven ability to produce and interpret financial reports and present to non-financial stakeholders. * Strong organisational and communication skills. * Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
