We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation based in East Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or qualified-by-experience finance professional to play a key role within a busy finance team, supporting accurate reporting, process improvements, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain management accounts templates
  • Analyse nominal ledger accounts and complete re-analysis where required
  • Prepare month-end schedules, including journals, adjustments, and recharges
  • Upload journals to Sage and ensure accurate financial postings
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and maintain fixed asset schedules
  • Perform daily VAT code checks and manage VAT processes proactively
  • Complete monthly VAT control account reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end audit processes and liaise with external accountants and auditors
  • Support preparation of year-end accounts and reconciliations

Criteria

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE)

Essential Experience

  • Sage 50 or similar accounting system
  • Experience working with CMS systems linked to accounting platforms
  • Transaction processing experience pre- and post-trial balance
  • Strong understanding of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting
  • Year-end audit experience

Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of confidentiality
  • Proactive approach with the ability to identify and drive process improvements
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexible, organised, and able to meet finance deadlines
