We are currently recruiting for a Business Development / Account Manager to join a growing I.T organisation, acting as the primary liaison between the business and key enterprise and SME clients across multiple industry sectors. This role is split approximately 50% Account Management and 50% Business Development, focused on managing and growing strategic client relationships while also identifying and converting new business opportunities. You will play a key role in driving sustainable revenue growth and ensuring the successful delivery of IT and security solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management (Approx. 50%)
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with enterprise and strategic clients
- Develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue, margin, and retention targets
- Identify and deliver upsell and cross-sell opportunities across all products and services
- Manage pipeline forecasting, revenue performance, and account profitability
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and commercial discussions
- Monitor account performance and report KPIs and client health metrics
- Act as the escalation point for key client issues and ensure effective resolution
- Provide client insights to support product and service improvement initiatives
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within target sectors
- Build new pipeline through networking, referrals, outreach, and marketing campaigns
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand client needs and technical requirements
- Work with technical teams to develop value-driven solutions and proposals
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from engagement through to contract close
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline tracking, and forecasting
About You
- 3-5 years’ experience in Account Management and Business Development, ideally in the I.T or Technology sector.
- Strong relationship-building and commercial negotiation skills
- Demonstrated success in delivering revenue growth and managing key strategic accounts
- Highly organised with strong forecasting and pipeline management capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
