We are delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Technician to join a busy and supportive Finance team based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to accurate financial reporting.
The successful candidate will support the Finance team with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records and assisting with monthly reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Maintain customer and supplier ledgers
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare VAT returns for review
- Maintain fixed asset registers
- Support daily finance activities across UK and Irish entities
- Provide general finance and administrative support as required
The Person
- Previous experience in accounts preparation with strong attention to detail
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting systems (Sage experience desirable)
- Relevant qualification advantageous (Part-Qualified / QBE / IATI), though practical experience is key
