NoMad London, a luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Covent Garden, is seeking a Painter & Decorator. The hotel combines gracious hospitality with understated elegance and comfort.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Undertake general painting and decorating maintenance and refurbishment in all areas of the hotel.
- Perform general maintenance and refurbishment work using trade skills including plastering repair work.
- Carry out a range of internal/external painting and redecoration tasks.
- Conduct preparation work using hand-held power tools including scraping, sanding, and filling.
- Undertake silicone replacement or new silicone application jobs.
- Prepare surfaces in readiness for the application of decorative products.
- Mix and thin paint to obtain desired colour and texture as necessary.
- Apply paint or other materials such as stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish, fibreglass, wood, metal coating, or fire retardant using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, following manufacturer's recommendations.
- Comply with all company and health & safety requirements at all times.
- Manage stock of all painting and decorating tools and materials, which may include purchasing items from the paint shop.
- Perform French polishing duties upon receiving training from an external company or by attending a French polishing course provided by the company.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Assist with other ad hoc general maintenance duties in support of the Engineering team.
