OVERVIEW OF ROLE
As a Public Area Attendant you will be responsible for cleaning and servicing of public areas (bar/restaurant/events area), corridors, fire exits, stairways and service areas on assigned floors/areas to ensure they are clean, orderly, attractive and well maintained. Ideal candidate should have previous housekeeping experience from a fast pace and luxury hotel environment.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Always prioritise guest-facing areas and urgent tasks over non-essential duties.
- Ensure all work is approached with a clear focus on maintaining high standards in areas visible to guests, while managing time effectively to complete secondary tasks as required.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication within the team and with other departments such as Front Office, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage to ensure smooth coordination, timely updates, and efficient resolution of tasks and guest requests.
- Guest toilets must be checked regularly throughout the day to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
- Manage time effectively to complete secondary tasks without compromising on service quality.
- Ensure high quality cleaning service in the Front of House and Back of House areas.
- Complete all daily tasks in accordance with Knowcross recurring job schedules.
- Regularly check the Knowcross system to ensure all assigned duties are acknowledged, completed on time, and updated accurately to maintain operational efficiency and accountability.
- Keep working areas clean and tidy and maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure service area is well stocked with necessary products and cleaned always.
- Report on issues such as equipment and maintenance issues, stains on furniture and carpets promptly to department manager for immediate action.
- Perform regular deep cleaning of all areas of hotel as instructed.
- Collecting, processing, and delivering laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing for guests in the absence of the valet.
- When handling guest laundry verify the correct laundry service is selected as per the guest laundry list and follow the process accordingly.
- Accurately count all guest laundry items, checking for and reporting any stains, rips, or holes.
- Inspect all garments for lost property (e.g., items left in pockets) and report any findings to management promptly.
- To always follow H&S and Standard Operating Procedures.
- To perform any additional task required as per business need.
