We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Corporate Affairs Manager to join Nomad Foods, within our Group Corporate Affairs function. In this role, you will lead and shape Nomad Foods’ public affairs and media strategy, driving initiatives that strengthen our corporate reputation and influence policy across multiple markets. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, overseeing complex advocacy and communications programmes, and ensuring corporate affairs priorities are aligned to business objectives across the organisation. This is a high‑profile role with significant exposure, where you will engage with policymakers, media and key stakeholders across the UK and EU, while supporting the business on strategic communications, issues management and reputation building.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver integrated public affairs and corporate communications strategies aligned to business priorities
- Provide strategic counsel and risk assessment to senior leadership on media, regulatory and political issues
- Lead UK and EU public affairs strategy, including monitoring legislation and shaping policy positions
- Represent Nomad Foods in external forums, consultations and industry bodies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, regulators, trade associations, NGOs and media
- Develop and deliver high‑impact advocacy campaigns and thought leadership, influencing key topics such as sustainability, nutrition and food security
- Lead on media relations, issues and crisis management, supporting leadership through high‑profile situations
- Manage external agencies to ensure high‑quality delivery across campaigns and communications activities
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to capability development within the Corporate Affairs function
- Oversee budget planning and performance reporting for corporate affairs activity
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure alignment of communications, advocacy and business strategy across markets
About you
We’re looking for an experienced Corporate Affairs leader with strong credibility, strategic thinking and the ability to influence at senior levels across a global organisation. You will bring a deep understanding of the UK and European political and media landscape, alongside the ability to navigate complex issues, manage reputation and deliver impactful communications strategies.
Key requirements:
- Significant experience in corporate communications and/or government affairs at a senior level
- Proven track record of influencing policy and managing complex stakeholder relationships
- Strong experience in issues and crisis management
- Deep understanding of UK and EU political, regulatory and media environments
- Experience advising senior executives and supporting high‑profile engagements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging
- Experience managing agencies and mentoring team members
