This role reports to the CIO with accountability to lead Nomad Foods’ PMO and project portfolio ensuring governance, prioritization, and alignment to business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • ONE NOMAD: Role models and champions the One Nomad mindset, behaviours and actions embodying our values. Agile and collaborative individual who actively connects across the organization. Challenges and leads to deliver outcomes which support business performance.
  • BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP: Maintains strong partnership with business leaders. Develops trusted and objective relationships with business leaders which provide opportunity to maximise project delivery and value creation to meet and exceed Nomad Foods objectives. Maintains and reports global project portfolio status highlighting areas of focus, connecting with stakeholders to address issues and risks.
  • GOVERNANCE AND PROCESS: Owns the overall governance and management of Nomad Foods project portfolio. Tracks programme and project progress and exceptions against key milestones, key risks, issues & dependencies, ensuring effective communication of key project information (risks, actions, status, issues) and aggregated summaries across portfolios to highlight and report top issues and risks for management attention. Responsible for managing the ongoing Programme status reporting across functions, ensuring a consistently high standard of reporting. Provides governance of any changes to the portfolio of projects.
  • COMPLIANCE: Implementation and adherence to compliance policies and procedures: Accountable for adherence to internal and external compliance (including SOX controls). Identifies any compliance risk in good time to implement mitigation plans which ensure ongoing compliance. Supports Project sponsors in achieving compliance in their projects/programs.
  • CAPABILITIES & PROCESSES: Define and implement improvements to PMO processes. Owns the ongoing maintenance and development of internal project management resources and ensures compliance to methodology from external project managers. Develops tools and resources to further develop project management methodology including PMO and Project leadership/sponsorship within Nomad Foods. Leads a small team of central project management resources ensuring skills and capabilities are in place to deliver against the project portfolio.
  • LEADS ACROSS THE ORGANISATION: Builds cross-functional partnerships. Collaborate and partner on priorities that contribute to the wider Nomad Foods agenda. Builds trust and creates the conditions to enable direct and cross-functional teams to deliver strong performance and work together effectively. Builds diverse, effective teams reflective of the markets we operate in.

Qualifications

  • Detailed knowledge of how a best practice PMO works and functions.
  • Strong leadership characteristics & stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of being the project manager on a large programme (not the job but the person needs to know how a large programme works).
  • Prior experience in a complex organisation, working across a variety of geographies or business units.
  • Ability to standardise tools, processes, data.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Great negotiation skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work and team effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises.
  • Process and data focused.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative working.
