In this role, you will play a key part in enabling Nomad Foods’ markets to deliver stronger, more effective plans to retailers and shoppers. Sitting within the Group Commercial Centre of Expertise, you will operate across two critical growth levers: Category Development and Shopper Execution. This is a high-impact, cross-market role where you will work closely with central and market teams to embed the One Nomad Category Vision and elevate Shopper Execution capabilities, ensuring best practice, consistency, and performance across Nomad Foods’ markets.
About the Role
- Category Development
- Partner with the Group Head of Category Development to drive and embed the One Nomad Category Vision across markets.
- Support markets to localise the Category Vision for customer engagement through toolkits, frameworks, and hands-on guidance.
- Enable in-market teams to confidently engage retailers using robust category stories and insights.
- Shopper Execution Strategy
- Own and champion the Nomad Foods Shopper Execution strategy, ensuring adherence to One Nomad principles and best practice.
- Maintain and evolve the One Nomad, One Shopper Guidebook, driving consistency and commercial return from activation activity.
- Act as the voice of the shopper, partnering with central Brand and Portfolio teams to ensure path-to-purchase considerations are embedded in campaign planning and prioritisation.
- Market Enablement & Communities
- Lead and facilitate the Category Development and Shopper Execution Community, fostering collaboration between markets and central functions.
- Maintain close dialogue with key markets to understand activation plans, amplify successes, and share learnings.
- Champion innovative approaches, best practices, and winning ways of working across all markets.
- Capability Building & Continuous Improvement
- Own and maintain Shopper Execution Flywheel materials and capability frameworks.
- Develop and deliver capability and training materials for Category Development and Shopper Execution teams.
- Translate insights from partners such as Circana and Shopnosis into actionable recommendations for markets.
- Where appropriate, commission or support additional studies to improve understanding of Shopper Execution effectiveness and ROI.
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen insight into Retail Media activation and its role in driving performance and return.
About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded, collaborative professional with a strong background in both Category Development and Shopper Execution. You will be confident engaging with multiple stakeholders across markets and central teams, able to prioritise effectively, and passionate about driving capability and performance at scale.
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in FMCG, ideally in retailer-facing roles.
- Proven experience in Category Development and Shopper Activation / Execution.
- Experience operating within a global/local operating model.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Capability-driven mindset with a focus on best practice, learning, and continuous improvement.
