Over the year working as part of our Research, Development, and Quality team at our Lowestoft factory site, you will broaden your knowledge and gain a variety of experiences by undertaking a role that includes:
Responsibilities
- Teaching you about consumer preferences and trends in multiple markets and providing first‑hand experience of R&D specification systems and operational processes
- Providing hands‑on experience developing bench prototypes through to supporting scale‑up factory trials, broadening and strengthening your practical skills
- Giving you project responsibilities with challenging deadlines, delivering findings as written reports and presentations to senior managers
- Teaching you about the innovation process, taking a product from concept, through development into factory trials and ultimately to launch
- Requiring interaction with cross‑functional teams – Quality Assurance, Marketing, Finance, Packaging, and Factory Process – so that no two days are the same
- Providing the chance to visit our headquarters in London and meet colleagues from different functions to better understand their roles
- Inviting you to participate in off‑site training sessions with key suppliers
Qualifications
- Currently studying toward a BSc science degree course (or equivalent) related to or applicable to the food industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication and basic IT skills
- Close attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Ability to make independent decisions, work autonomously and comfortably as part of a team
- Confidence to constructively challenge your seniors
