Do you want to join a business striving to be the World\’s Frozen Food Champion by helping us with our Innovation pipeline through utilizing our supplier base.
We have an excellent opportunity available for you to grow your career and make a difference at Nomad Foods! Joining us as an Innovation Buyer, you’ll be supporting the procurement strategy for all things innovation across multiple functions and geographies to maximise cost savings whilst maintaining standards.
About the role…
The role supports the execution of the NPD strategy for the segment ensuring business requirements are met through procuring goods and services in a sustainable and ethical way, whilst optimising costs, maintaining quality standards and mitigating supply chain risks.
- Maximising end to end value creation by optimising the supplier base.
- Supporting NPD strategy through existing and new suppliers.
- Using market intelligence to forecast both price and market trends, leveraging this knowledge in negotiations with suppliers to deliver value.
- Working closely with Sustainability Team to define sustainable and ethical sourcing plan.
About you…
A strong buyer with experience across either direct or indirect categories. Striving to deliver on cost-saving targets whilst maintaining high standards of performance and supplier relationships. You’ll be commercially driven and have strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Category procurement experience is essential.
- A knowledge / understanding of NPD or Innovation is desired
- Experience within FMCG or Retail buying preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and proactive in communication.
- Proven record of delivering cost savings and improve commercial value.
