Overview

As a result of the transition to S4 and the ongoing Finance Transformation, a temporary role is required to support the stabilisation of the UK& business. The purpose of this role is to be the lead point of contact for the UK&I cluster for the S4 stabilisation and optimisation wave, acting as the interface between the project and local market teams.

This role will help drive resolution of outstanding issues, and co-ordinate inputs from the local teams to drive process improvements, whilst ensuring Senior Stakeholders are kept up to date of the status and progress of the project.

Responsibilities

Stabilisation

  • Understand the outstanding issues within the UK&I market and ensure momentum with project team to drive resolution
  • Co-ordinate inputs from both UK and Ireland Finance teams, ensuring right people are looped in at right time to drive efficiency and right outcome
  • Be part of cross functional end to end workshops and ensure deadlines are upheld for any local market inputs required
  • Where workarounds exist post S4 implementation, lead an internal review of current processes ‘mini audit’ to ensure there are no high risk areas and workarounds are robust (Rebates a key area)
  • Own the communication to UK&I FLT and UK&I Leadership team where applicable for status updates
  • Ownership of the IT issue log and making wider team aware of any key issues and any required escalations by Finance Director

Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities for automation and streamlining of processes to drive efficiencies, ensuring the root cause of any issues are identified and resolved
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and streamline existing reporting and provide recommendations
  • Drive standardisation and ways of working across UK&I whilst processes are optimised
  • Develop standard operating procedures for local market
  • Support the transition of FP&A into local market and work with the team to drive efficiencies and process improvements
  • Other ad hoc requests as applicable where full time FBP resource is needed to support the project and coverage is required

Qualifications

Essential

  • University Degree or equivalent
  • Experience working in a finance role
  • Power BI
  • SAP ECC/SAP BI
  • Advanced MS Office package, particularly Excel
  • High level of business / financial acumen and analytical ability
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to challenge, understand and communicate to different Stakeholder groups in a clear way
  • Able to quickly learn and understand interactions between various finance/reporting system
  • Focussed on meeting deadlines and commitments to others. Always looking to improve processes
  • Seeking out the root cause rather than just dealing with the symptoms “the so what”
  • Able to challenge, understand and communicate to different Stakeholder groups in a clear way
  • Pro-active and able to work off own initiative and as part of a Team

Desirable

  • Experience of working in an FMCG organisation
