Our Commercial Project Manager will lead and deliver fast-paced, highly complex, high value, commercially successful projects (including, but not limited to, NPD and Renovation) on time and in budget through aligning cross-functional experts, optimising resources to drive strategic outcomes. Specific project roles may require some additional responsibilities. Supporting the PMO Analyst, they play a key role in the monthly Innovation Governance process ensuring all projects are submitted on time to drive essential reporting to facilitate informed business decisions. We need someone who fully understands the impact they can have as a Professional Project Manager through: 1. Excellent execution of key commercial projects, supporting Nomad Food\’s strategy 2. Ensuring Nomad Foods Project Methodology is followed, driving collaboration and effective communication within the cross functional project team 3. Ensure the \”bigger picture\” is always in view and inter-dependencies, risk and resources between projects are managed 4. Actively participate in and support adoption and development of the Nomad Foods Innovation Governance Process Scoping & project briefing

  • Is able to lead a team to define a clear project brief & scope
  • Understands the impact of scope change & external factors to the project. Knows how & when scope change needs to be escalated/ challenged and is able to work with partners to resolve

  • Understands and uses a variety of planning and project management tools
  • Through questioning/challenging project teams is able to create an effective project plan, identifying and managing dependencies
  • Drives & holds the project team to deliver against the plan
  • Issue & Risk Management
  • Is able to lead the project team to identify risks and issues
  • Effectively communicates, highlights risks and escalates issues to relevant stakeholders
  • Develops risk management strategies and finds alternative solutions and implements them
  • Governance, process definition, reporting & tracking
  • Awareness and engagement with Nomad Foods project management (Stage Gate) processes and governance, to ensure projects are managed in accordance to these processes
  • Effectively communicates key project information (i.e. risks, actions, current status, issues) and ensures it is understood by all relevant stakeholders (project team, wider business functions, senior stakeholders)
  • Project Team Management
  • Understands the importance of collaboration and building a strong project team
  • Can plan and hold structured & well conducted meetings
  • Tracks team delivery and is able to hold team to account
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Ability to Identify stakeholder maps (RACI) for each project and assess influence and interest
  • Use a communication plan to engage stakeholders – listen and communicate details of the project and its progress
  • Manage escalations of stakeholders
  • Change Management
  • Understand the principles of change management and the follow best practice approach to executing change well within the Nomad Methodology
  • Understand the barriers to change and manage barriers to and resistance to change effectively by communicating the plan (and the benefits) to the team and to the broader stakeholder community
  • Resource Management
  • Manages project requirements – specifies resources required against the project plan and agrees them with the project Sponsor
  • Reacts to changes in Resource requirements
  • At least 3 years\’ experience of managing Innovation projects in a FMCG or Pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience and use of Project Management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
  • Degree qualified
  • Demonstrated delivery within cross-functional projects
  • Great communicator – Verbally and written
  • Transparent, open and honest
  • Great organizational skills (self & others) and using them for building relationships across the business and with project teams
  • Works with a sense of urgency and bias for action
  • Ability to hold teams and individuals to account
  • Technically competent with MS Office tools and MS SharePoint
  • Knowledge and understanding of project finances (disciplines of writing a project business case, of tracking actual spend against budgets)
  • Desirable
  • Use of Enterprise PPM Toolsets e.g. Planview
  • Project Management or PMO qualification (or studying)
  • MS Project Skills
  • Experience of Leading a Team
  • Procurement, R&D or Technical experience in FMCG business
  • Savings and Productivity Projects
