Overview Purpose & Impact

This role sits within the Enterprise Architecture function and is accountable for leading SAP solution design for the Finance and HR domains across Nomad Foods. Working closely with Finance and People teams, product owners, delivery partners and IT, the role defines fit-for-purpose SAP architectures that support the S/4HANA Finance roadmap and the SuccessFactors landscape, ensuring designs align to enterprise standards, security and data principles, and business strategy.

The SAP Finance & HR Solution Architect translates business requirements across record-to-report, controlling, treasury, tax, statutory and group reporting, and across core HR, talent, learning, compensation and key payroll/integration touchpoints into robust, scalable and compliant SAP solutions. The role provides architectural guidance and design assurance, ensuring technology decisions are sustainable and deliver measurable business value across all markets.

An experienced SAP Finance & HR Solution Architect with a strong track record of delivering outcomes through collaboration across business and technology teams. The role works closely with stakeholders to support the design, adoption and evolution of SAP Finance and HR solutions across Nomad Foods, ensuring alignment to agreed architecture standards, security and data principles, and business objectives.

The individual brings the credibility and experience to challenge constructively and influence effectively at multiple levels, driving collaboration, clarity, and well-informed decision making. Operating with integrity and professionalism, they act as a trusted partner with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to identifying and addressing risks and opportunities. The successful candidate is able to cut through complexity, synthesising technical and business information into clear, objective solution designs and recommendations. They communicate decisions confidently and effectively, supporting delivery teams and stakeholders with well-reasoned, evidence-based guidance.

Responsibilities

  • ONE NOMAD - Acts as a role model for the One Nomad mindset, demonstrating collaborative, agile, and outcome-focused behaviours aligned to Nomad Foods’ values. Proactively connects across IT and business teams to design and deliver SAP solutions that support business performance and strategic objectives.
  • BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP - Builds strong, trusted partnerships with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams across the SAP landscape. Works closely with business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into fit for purpose SAP solution designs that maximise value, enable efficient delivery, and support Nomad Foods’ objectives across regions and business units. Clearly articulates solution decisions, tradeoffs, and architectural value.
  • SOLUTION GOVERNANCE & DESIGN - Provides solution-level architecture governance across the SAP estate with a strong focus on Finance and HR capabilities, including SAP S/4HANA Finance (Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Group Reporting), SAP SuccessFactors (Core HR, Talent, Learning, Compensation), payroll integrations, master data and reporting, as well as BW/analytics, integrations and extensions. Ensures solution designs align to agreed enterprise architecture standards, SAP best practices, and target-state architectures, enabling end-to-end financial, people and commercial governance processes across the enterprise. Actively identifies design risks, regulatory and data dependencies (including finance controls, audit, SOX, privacy and HR data protection), and impacts across the wider SAP and non-SAP landscape, escalating where appropriate. Contributes to architecture reviews, governance forums and design authorities, ensuring solutions are compliant, scalable, supportable and outcomes-led across global operations.
  • COMPLIANCE & STANDARDS - Ensures SAP solution designs comply with Nomad Foods’ architecture standards, security, data, and compliance policies. Supports controlled change across SAP processes, applications, integrations, and data models by ensuring designs are documented, reviewed, and approved in line with governance expectations.
  • SAP CAPABILITIES & DELIVERY SUPPORT - Contributes to the continuous improvement of SAP solution design practices, patterns, and reusable assets. Produces high quality design artefacts (solution designs, integration designs, data flows, and nonfunctional considerations) to support project and product delivery. Works closely with delivery partners and internal teams to ensure solutions are implemented as designed and deliver the intended business outcomes.
  • COLLABORATION ACROSS THE ORGANISATION - Works effectively across cross-functional teams including SAP delivery, infrastructure, security, data, and business SMEs. Builds strong working relationships to enable consistent, high-quality solution outcomes across programmes and initiatives. Encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment across teams operating within the SAP landscape.
  • Architecture Artifacts - Ensure that Nomad EA system, CMDB and other Architecture artifacts are maintained with the latest information.

Qualifications

  • Detailed knowledge of how a best practice Solution Architecture function should operate.
  • Strong leadership characteristics & stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrable experience operating as a Solution Architect, with exposure across multiple technology disciplines (applications, infrastructure, integration, data, cloud, and security).
  • Prior experience in a complex organisation, working across a variety of geographies or business units.
  • Ability to standardise tools, processes, data, infrastructure, Software Dev standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Great negotiation skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work and team effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises.
