We are proposing that our new Shared Finance Centre will house both our Financial Accounting teams and our Financial Planning and Analysis Centre of Expertise. The Cluster Associates are responsible for supporting Month End reporting and analytics for our business units and central functions, including standard management reporting. The Cluster Associate will be responsible for developing and implementing analytical standards for reporting partnering with the various departments across the business unit.
Responsibilities- Assist with the monthly close of management accounts, including the involvement in the preparation of monthly data reporting packages that includes analysis of KPIs, variance analysis and explanations, preparation and posting of necessary accruals and journals.
- Involved in assimilating data from multiple systems and stakeholders to identify trends for KPIs & actuals.
- Support the Cluster Finance team with analysis and variances to comparatives.
- Following guidance from their line manager, enhance data governance processes by improving the quality and integrity of data collected, analysis performed, and reports generated.
- Collaborate with Cluster team to classify, quantify, and forecast by providing reliable, accurate, comparable, and timely information.
- Maintain and produce standard quarterly performance analytics and reports for leadership with guidance from Cluster Finance team.
- Facilitate standardisation and sharing of best practice across the Shared Finance team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Support automation and enterprise consolidation of data used in monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
- Prepare SOX controls and support all audit requests.
- Essential: Finance experience.
- Experience with reporting tools.
- Desirable: Previous Finance experience within an FMCG business.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Start of qualification or Part qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Analytical abilities.
- Experience with business intelligence tools and developing data visualisations.
- SAP.
- Positive attitude, pro-active, growth mindset, work to solve problems.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to engage people at all levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to constructively challenge assumptions and thinking.
- Impactful report writing and presentation skills.
