It is an exciting time to join the Nomad Foods Technology Function. Due to high growth of the business, significant investment is being made in IT; we are investing in new capabilities, transforming our application landscape, and growing our department to increase our capacity, creating more career opportunities. We have a vacancy for a Senior Business Analyst – Planning & Manufacturing, leading a team of permanent and contract Business Analysts and Functional Consultants, working across a portfolio of projects and changes. The role ensures business requirements are delivered with benefits, cost reductions and/or service improvements. This role will have specific responsibility for supporting our Planning, Manufacturing and Quality Management processes, and system related application initiatives in the Middle Office function. Strong experience in Supply Chain Management, Planning, and Manufacturing is expected. There will be a requirement to take on some leadership and management responsibility across the broader Business Solutions team, as well as supporting the Business Partner in defining the Supply Chain Technology strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Management & Strategy: Work with Business Partners to perform strategic reviews and deliver systems and business functional change within the Technology Team. Act as workstream lead on large projects, or overall lead on small projects or large changes. Provide leadership to Business Analyst teams, and matrix project teams (BA’s, Infrastructure Analysts, Solution Designers, Service Delivery, Outsource partners etc.). Lead, develop, coach and engage team members to build future leadership capabilities and ensure timely and effective completion of all people related activities including PDPs, reward reviews and succession planning.
  • Business Analysis: Lead the collection, understanding, documentation and translation of the business requirements for changes and complex projects, into functional specifications and detailed test plans. Ensure that all activities comply with relevant Operating model procedures, including relevant Service Management, Project Lifecycle Management and Sarbanes Oxley controls. Lead the analysis in the production of business cases covering the development and implementation of business changes as necessary. Document all work using the required standards, methods and tools and recommend /lead improvements to standards where appropriate.
  • Process Design: Provide Business Process design and documentation expertise, recommending business process and/or system improvements using formal (and informal) techniques. Lead the development and implementation of these improvements / new processes.
  • Test & Training: Test, implement and train in systems and facilitate system and user acceptance testing.
  • Business Knowledge & Expertise: Lead continuous improvement and capability build for Business Analyst community, collaborating with other Senior Business Analysts. Evaluate industry and competitor solutions, and incorporate into own thinking, analysis and solution design.
  • Collaboration: Collaborates with other business analysts and IT teams to ensure consistency and quality of system and process implementations and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across the team and function. Provide the link between the customer, development team and any third party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle. Partner with suppliers to evaluate product roadmaps and ensure successful implementation and adoption of relevant new features that benefit the organisation. Chair business change boards to qualify, prioritise and schedule a backlog of change requests and enhancements for portfolio of applications.

Qualifications

Essential: Strong analytical skills coupled with knowledge of how IT applications can maximise business advantage. Knowledge of market leading ERP systems and related process implementations for SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA. Knowledge of SAP IBP or similar applications supporting the Planning process. Knowledge of S&OP processes. Knowledge of Manufacturing, Quality Management, MES, and other production-close systems. Experience of IT Service Delivery and Application support. Experience of managing a team. 5-8yrs Business Analysis, covering both Waterfall and Agile project environments. Demonstrable knowledge and successful application of the principles, methods, techniques and tools of various business analysis techniques.

Desirable: Experience of group-wide Supply Chain programmes and initiatives. Experience of having implemented AI solutions or capabilities. Experience of Sales Promotions tools such as Exceedra. Project experience in an FMCG environment would be an advantage. Experience of Finance (Order-to-Invoice) or Procurement (SAP Ariba). Understanding of interface technologies / principles & EDI. Business Analysis Qualification.
