Overview
PURPOSE & IMPACT: This role sits in the Commercial Centre of Expertise and is focused on actively enabling our markets to deliver better plans to their retailers, across two key disciplines. Category Development is a key function in Nomad Foods, identified on the Flywheel as a key lever of growth plans to Win with Retailers. The core focus of this role is to work with the Group Head of Category Development to drive the OneNomad Category Vision with markets. Shopper Activation also features as part of our guiding Flywheel, to Win with Shoppers. The Shopper Execution element of this role is to guide markets to improve their plans using OneNomad principles, best practice and shared learnings.
Main expectations:
- Be able to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Be able to facilitate and communicate with a high number of in-market stakeholders.
- Be effective at working cross-functionally within Group Commercial and other central functions.
- Be focused on Category Development and Shopper Activation strategy and have a capability-driven mindset across both disciplines.
- Have experience of Shopper Activation and best practices, and be able to see the potential of unlocking Category Development at the point of purchase with Shoppers.
Responsibilities
- Rollout of the OneNomad Foods Category Vision.
- Directly support markets to localise the OneNomad Category Vision via toolkits and, where appropriate, hands-on support.
- Take the lead in terms of the role of Shopper Execution within the localisation and customer engagement processes and how-to guides.
- Own and Champion the Nomad Foods Shopper Execution strategy.
- Own the OneNomad, One Shopper Guidebook to ensure adherence to best practice principles for Shopper Activation, to drive the best commercial return.
- Ensure closeness to markets to understand their activation plans, amplify successes and facilitate the sharing of key learnings.
- Be the voice of the shopper when working with the Central Brand team to ensure implications for the Path to Purchase are taken into account, also give guidance on campaign prioritisation for markets.
- Run the Nomad Foods Category Development and Shopper Execution Community, ensuring connectivity between markets and central functions and the effective sharing of best practice.
- Understand category and Nomad Foods activation plans at a market level through regular dialogue with key markets.
- Champion best practice, innovative approaches and winning ways of working through the Category Development and Shopper Execution Community.
- Own Shopper Execution Flywheel materials.
- Provide Capability and Training materials for the Category Development and Shopper Execution Community.
- Maintain and champion the OneNomad, OneShopper Guidebook and drive learnings and recommendations from Circana and Shopnosis into markets to improve the effectiveness of activations.
- Where appropriate, recommend and conduct additional studies to increase our knowledge of Shopper Execution effectiveness/ROI and deploy learnings to markets to ensure continuous improvement.
- Work with markets to increase our access to agencies and tools that can improve the performance of Shopper Activation.
- Work with colleagues to ensure greater insights into the activation of Retail Media, and the role it can play in delivering strong ROI.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years FMCG experience.
- Experience of Shopper Activation in retailer-facing roles.
- Experience of Category Development in retailer-facing roles.
- Experience of working in businesses with a Global/Local model.
