Assistant Controller (9 Month FTC)

Overview

The role will be a key individual within the Financial Accounting & Reporting team and will assist with the statutory requirements, Group Reporting requirements, and will assist with the running of a smooth month-end close.

Responsibilities

1. Process journal entries within the SAP general ledger system
2. Record treasury movements within the SAP general ledger system
3. Maintain compliance with the set of SOX controls applied to departmental operations
4. Perform month-end activities including journal posting, reconciliations, and reviews
5. Assist in preparation of local audits
6. Assist in the month-end close cycle
7. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
8. Assist in preparation of Corporation Tax returns
9. Assist in the compilation of VAT, Intrastat, and EC Sales list reporting
10. Ad hoc support/project work to the wider Finance team

Qualifications

1. Studying for CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part Qualified
2. > 1 years’ experience in working within a financial accounting team.
3. SAP experience and worked effectively within a large, multi-site, and complex business desirable
