Mechanical Tooling Technician

Employment type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Wrexham

Hours: 37.5hrs (Monday to Friday)

Salary: 30,000 – 32,000 per annum +benefits +bonus

The role

Due to continued growth, my client is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Tooling Technician to join their organisation.

We are working exclusively on this fantastic opportunity with an Assembly Tooling and Servicing organisation who are a market leader in supplying, installing, and servicing production tooling. Attending the site at Wrexham supporting a customer\’s production team with any tooling calibration, on-site repairs, record keeping and collection of scheduled tools for repair.

Role Responsibilities

Work with our client\’s customers to facilitate the transfer of all available repair, calibration, and service work.

This will include:

  • Supporting the securing of Purchase Orders to conduct and deliver services to site.
  • Securing, maintaining and delivering on-site calibration of tool and torque.
  • Carrying out repairs and planned maintenance.
  • Working with the internal sales team to secure invoice creation and payment collection of the above
  • Identifying and building rapport with key decision-makers through effective
  • Managing tool inventory and calibration schedule lists in readiness of any BSI audits and reporting progress to key stakeholders.

Skills

  • Previous experience within some type of mechanical engineering, servicing, repair or assembly work.
  • Assembly tool maintenance or calibration knowledge is preferable, but not essential. Our client\’s qualified personnel will provide relevant training for the successful applicant.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Computer literate.
