About the Role
You will be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections in line with DVSA standards, ensuring vehicles meet all legal and safety requirements. In addition to MOT testing, you may also support the workshop team with servicing, repairs, and vehicle inspections when required. The successful candidate will take pride in delivering high-quality work while maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
- Identify and accurately report vehicle defects and advisory items
- Ensure all MOT documentation and records are completed correctly
- Maintain high standards of vehicle safety and compliance
- Liaise professionally with customers regarding test results and recommendations
- Assist with servicing, repairs, and vehicle inspections when required
- Support workshop efficiency and maintain a clean, organised working environment
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company standards
Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience working as an MOT Tester within a garage or dealership environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and vehicle diagnostic skills
