Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

We are currently working with a fast-growing renewable energy business who are seeking a Design Manager to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a highly ambitious organisation delivering high‑specification renewable energy and MEP projects across the South East. The business works across a broad range of technologies including ASHP, GSHP, Solar PV, Battery Storage, MVHR, and Air Conditioning systems for both residential and commercial projects. This role offers a high degree of flexibility, with office attendance typically required on Tuesdays and ideally Thursdays, alongside occasional site visits when required.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the technical design function across renewable energy and MEP projects.
  • Managing and mentoring a small team of Design Engineers, reviewing outputs and maintaining high technical standards.
  • Taking ownership of designs post‑handover from the sales team through to project delivery.
  • Producing detailed Stage 4 and Stage 5 technical designs for renewable energy systems including heat pumps, solar PV, MVHR, battery storage, and full MEP.
