Are you a passionate and skilled Car Mechanic looking to join a family‑owned garage where you can make a real impact? Our client is currently seeking an experienced Car Mechanic / MOT Tester to become a key player in their highly reputable garage, carrying out vehicle repairs alongside MOT testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire changes, and brake inspections.
- Repair and replace worn or broken parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.
- Ensure vehicles are safe and in excellent operating condition.
- Keep detailed records of all work performed.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle condition and necessary repairs.
- Conduct MOTs (full training and certification will be provided if this isn’t something you have done previously).
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Car Mechanic is essential.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Related qualifications or certificates would be preferred.
