Nolan Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering organisation for an experienced Service Engineer to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded engineer with electrical knowledge to work in a varied field-based role, carrying out service, maintenance, fault-finding and commissioning activities across the UK and Ireland. Extensive travel will be required, with overnight stays as part of the role.
Key Duties:
- Carry out service, maintenance, repair and commissioning work on industrial equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on customer sites.
- Provide professional technical support and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation following site visits.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Support workshop activities and equipment assembly when required.
- Attend training courses to maintain and develop technical expertise.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Mechanical engineering background with an apprenticeship, NVQ qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems.
- Previous experience in a service, maintenance, installation or engineering role.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexible and willing to travel throughout the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays when required. xgikmsk
