Nolan Recruitment are recruiting a Workshop Engineer on behalf of one of their growing clients based in Colchester.

The Role:

  • Assembly and build of specialist equipment
  • Testing and inspection of systems (training provided)
  • Carrying out repair and overhaul work including strip-down, rebuild and testing
  • Supporting general workshop operations, including goods in/out
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and compliance

The Candidate:

  • Mechanical or engineering background (NVQ, apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a workshop or assembly environment
  • Basic electrical knowledge beneficial
  • Self-motivated with good attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • IT literate (MS Office)

Desirable:

  • Forklift experience
  • Experience working with mechanical systems
