Overview
Nokia Network Infrastructure is the world’s most reliable and trusted system partner for mission- and business-critical networks. We enable the digitalization of asset-intensive industries such as Transportation, Energy, Government & Defense with high-performance networks, digital automation solutions and high-quality, fully automated Data Center Networking solutions.
Beyond this, the Enterprise UK & Ireland organization is seeking new business in the Large Enterprise and Financial Services segments. These are the non-telco segments where Nokia Network Infrastructure targets significant growth, focusing on clients with secure, robust networking to meet demanding speed, capacity, latency, and regulatory requirements.
We need experienced, technically minded telecoms professionals with a history of winning. You will be conversant with secure networking technologies (IP, Optical, legacy, OSI model, LAN, WAN) having worked for one of our major vendor competitors, or at an organization providing managed network services to the Enterprise market. This is a high-touch networking vendor sales role.

Responsibilities
- Significant rewards are available to the right person who can open new opportunities, articulate Nokia’s value proposition and win new logo business.
- Identify business opportunities and create clear, mitigated strategies and actions to win.
- Become a trusted advisor for our customers and prospects; further develop and broaden business with existing customers.
- Work with existing and prospective partnerships to deliver for the end customer, incentivizing the partner to work further with Nokia.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including opportunity management, decision reviews, and commercial negotiations in cooperation with the pre-sales and support organizations.
- Develop and maintain a solid technical background and understanding of Nokia’s complete portfolio.
- Provide regular sales forecasting and visibility into sales activity and deliver to the commitments made to the business. Meet short- and long-term sales targets.
- Understand, anticipate and articulate trends and needs of various market segments; combine market and competitor awareness to deliver relevant solutions to the customer.
Key Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, business or related field.
- Previous experience in networking-equipment vendor sales.
- Experience in account management, portfolios, solutions, and services sales in the telecommunications or IT industry.
- Knowledge of sales methodologies and techniques, with excellent questioning, challenging, and negotiation skills.
- Honest and trustworthy; maintains high standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior in all business relationships.
- Confident and charismatic interpersonal skills; ability to convince and influence others.
- Strive for high standards in customer satisfaction, quality and responsiveness towards customers.
- Self-motivated with a strong fighting spirit.
- Strong business acumen in planning and organizing, information integration, decision-making, and the ability to achieve results while focusing on customer requirements and business success.
- Experience with CRM tools (CRM / Salesforce.com) for pipeline management and MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Exceptional written communication and presentation skills in English.
- Frequent travel to customers (around 50-75% of time).
