Overview
Performance Tester – Financial Technology – Peterborough / Hybrid
The ideal candidate will have a meticulous approach to performance testing in a fast-paced, regulated environment where system reliability is critical to business success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute performance test strategies using industry-standard tools including LoadRunner, Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers and QA specialists within an Agile delivery model to validate non-functional performance requirements and support early bottleneck detection and resolution.
- Build usage models that emulate real-world traffic and usage patterns, run structured load tests, and analyze application logs, metrics and traces to deliver meaningful insights.
- Participate in performance engineering to ensure applications meet scalability, performance and availability requirements.
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in performance engineering or system testing, ideally in a large-scale Microsoft-based environment.
- Proficiency with LoadRunner components (VuGen, Controller, Analysis).
- Experience with distributed applications built on .NET Framework, SQL Server, IIS, and Windows Server.
- Strong analytical thinking and experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace.
- Proactive, detail-focused mindset and collaborative, Agile working style.
Location & Compensation
Location: Peterborough, UK / Hybrid
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits
