NET, Python, SQL, OMS, EMS, Docker, CI/CD)Our client is one of the most exciting technology companies operating within the Investment Management space.

Having grown rapidly into an international business, they are now at a particularly exciting stage as they continue to scale their innovative platform, client base and engineering teams.

They are looking for a talented C# Developer to join a highly client-facing engineering team.

This isn’t a traditional development role – you’ll combine hands-on C# engineering with solution design and end-to-end delivery, working directly with sophisticated financial institutions to solve genuinely complex technology and data problems.

Strong Investment Management knowledge is essential.

You’ll need to understand investment products and Asset Classes, particularly Equities and Fixed Income, together with the trade lifecycle and how these are used within the investment world.

Successful candidates will have significant commercial C# experience alongside genuine Investment Management domain expertise.

You should be comfortable discussing different Asset Classes with clients and understand the key characteristics of Equities and Fixed Income.

General retail banking experience without this investment knowledge is unlikely to be sufficient.

Experience with Python, SQL, PMS, OMS, EMS, Trade Operations, Risk, Portfolio Compliance, CI/CD and Docker would be beneficial.

Exposure to additional Asset Classes beyond Equities and Fixed Income, including ETDs, OTCs and Alternatives, would also be advantageous.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior C# engineer who wants to remain technically hands-on while joining an ambitious, innovative Fin Tech at a genuinely exciting point in its growth.

You’ll gain significant client exposure, real ownership and the opportunity to use your Investment Management expertise to solve challenging problems across multiple Asset Classes.

Benefits include bonus, comprehensive private healthcare, professional training, gym discounts, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, additional holiday purchase, birthday off and hybrid working.

Salary: Upto 120K + Bonus + Benefits Applicants must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

How to prepare for a job interview at Noir Consulting

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Noir Consulting uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
