About us: NOIC Academy is located in the city of Markham, Ontario, Canada. Being a full-time private boarding secondary school, NOIC Academy is co-inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education, the IBO, Pearson Edexcel, and Cambridge International Education. It has been offering the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) since 2004 and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) since 2015. More recently, NOIC also becomes a Cambridge International School and Pearson International School.
We are currently seeking experienced and passionate educators to join our growing international academic team. We are hiring for the following A-Level subject teachers: AS/A-Level Biology.
Position Type: Part-time | Remote | Asynchronous Teaching
Teaching Schedule: Live classes may be scheduled at any time between 12:00 AM and 1:00 PM GMT. Candidates must have schedule flexibility to accommodate students across time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive A-Level classes in a synchronous online format.
- Teach lessons, mark assessments, provide feedback to students in line with A-Level curriculum and examination standards.
- Engage with students remotely, maintaining an interactive and supportive online learning environment.
- Mark assignments, respond to student inquiries, and prepare report cards in alignment with the school’s student evaluation and reporting guidelines.
- Fulfill all responsibilities associated with the teaching role beyond class time, including administrative tasks and student progress monitoring.
- Provide academic support and timely feedback to students.
- Maintain regular communication with program coordinators and academic staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 1 year of A-Level (AS or A2) teaching experience is required.
- Strong communication and instructional skills in an online teaching environment.
- Familiarity with synchronous teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Classin, Teams, etc.).
- Teaching certification is a plus but not mandatory.
