Model ML is the AI workflow builder transforming how major financial institutions produce and validate client-ready work. Model ML converts complex, manual processes into fully automated AI systems that scale across global teams. In under a year, Model ML has become one of the fastest growing enterprise AI platforms worldwide and recently closed a $75 million Series A, one of the largest fintech Series A rounds ever.

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud systems as we scale. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building robust, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure that empowers engineering teams to deliver quickly without sacrificing reliability or compliance.

You will be the driving force behind our DevOps, observability, and compliance readiness, ensuring our systems are audit-ready, highly available, and optimized for both performance and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure to support rapid product growth.
  • Prepare infrastructure for SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audits, aligning with customer expectations.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and data services to enable rapid, reliable releases.
  • Drive product-wide systems for logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and on-call processes.
  • Monitor and control cloud costs, identifying opportunities for optimization without sacrificing performance.
  • Act as the internal advocate for operational excellence.

What you can expect

It won't be easy; in fact, it will be very hard. BUT, it will be a lot of fun. You need to be comfortable in being uncomfortable; timelines will change, priorities will most likely shift. Be prepared to sacrifice your work-life balance in exchange for joining an incredible journey and learning a lot along the way.

Requirements

  • Technical stack: Azure (also AWS is a plus), Terraform, AKS (Kubernetes), Docker, Github actions.
  • Observability: Experience implementing logging, metrics, and tracing frameworks.
  • Security: Familiarity with best practices, secrets management, and security scanning tools.
  • Networking: Solid understanding of VPCs, private networking, DNS, load balancers, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Databases & Storage: Experience with provisioning, scaling, and managing production-grade databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL) and blob storage.
  • Scripting & Automation: Strong skills in Python or Bash for automation and tooling.

Experience

  • 4–7 years of relevant experience, ideally including startup or high growth/high load environments.
  • Proven track record of owning infrastructure end-to-end — from architecture through production support.
  • Experience implementing reliability, security, and compliance measures ahead of scale-up or audit readiness.
  • History of driving cost efficiency while enabling growth.
  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR compliance processes.

What We Offer

You will be reporting directly to the founders, who have two successful venture-backed exits under their belt. Competitive salary + equity. Supportive and innovative work environment.

How to prepare for a job interview at Nodi

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Nodi uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
