Junior SOC Analyst

Please note for this role - The successful candidate will need to be SC Cleared (living within the UK for 5 years) and commutable distance to our Derby office on a weekly basis.

About the role: Node4 have an exciting opportunity within our Security Operations Centre (SOC) for an individual looking to progress their career in cybersecurity. Our growing Security Team comprises Analysts, Penetration Testers and Engineers. As a Security Team we are responsible for securing both Node4 and also our customers against attacks, compromises and breaches. Internally we work as part of the corporate services department, collaborating with other teams such as network specialists and infrastructure engineers to mature and maintain our internal security posture. Externally we work closely with our account-managers and pre-sales team to deliver managed security services to customers and provide a consistently high quality standard of service.

We are looking for a passionate, driven individual who is keen to learn more about Cyber Security, enthusiastic about getting hands-on with new technologies and aspires to continually improve their own skills and knowledge. This role will help develop your attention to detail and analytical skills, whilst giving you exposure to various areas of cyber-security. Within the job, there will be the opportunity for continuous professional development as well as training and qualifications.

During onboarding and training, there would be an expectation of increased office attendance, additionally, there may be occasional travel to other Node4 sites within the UK (this will be expensed as per the usual business travel policy).

What will you bring?

• Some exposure to cyber-security tools and technologies such as EDR, SIEM, Firewalls etc
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Foundational understanding of IT & networking fundamentals (eg TCP, DNS, TLS)
• Able to work effectively in a team as well as confident working independently
• Taking accountability for tasks/projects
