About the role

We’re excited to offer a new opportunity for a People Advisor to join our People Operations team in Derby, providing dedicated support to the Managed Services Business Unit.

The People Advisor will support the People Business Partners and the Director of People to design, refine and implement the People strategy and provide HR expertise, advocating change, developing a high-level of employee engagement and maintaining and developing the organisation’s culture whilst providing Advisory support across the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Director of People you will offer stakeholder management for all levels up to and including C‑Suite.

The role will support with shaping the day-to-day experience of Node4 colleagues to create a compelling and consistent employee experience across all locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to line managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters including performance management, absence, disciplinary, grievance, and capability issues.
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with legal and company procedures.
  • Support and coach managers on people management and HR policy application to build leadership capability.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and review of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives in line with current legislation and best practice.
  • Analyse HR data and produce reports to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Contribute to employee engagement strategies, wellbeing programmes, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Work with the People Operations team to identify and implement process improvement areas.
  • Work with the wider People and Performance team to identify and implement streamlined processes.
  • Own the Induction process with the People Co‑ordinator.
  • Ensure the consistent and accurate application of HR policies in the organisation.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure Compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and provide guidance on resolving issues.
  • Support organisational change initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to change management initiatives.

What will you bring?

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws and regulations
  • Highly motivated and self‑directed, with a flexible and stakeholder centric approach
  • A collaborative approach to work, you will be a real team player and ready to roll your sleeves up whenever needed
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
  • Positive approach to learning, identifying own development needs as appropriate
  • Have excellent communication skills (verbal, written and face‑to‑face)
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have effective time management
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Thrive in a fast paced and energetic environment
