Node4 own and operate multiple data centres, maintaining full end-to-end control of infrastructure and operations. This enables us to deliver highly reliable, flexible and customer-focused services. Data Centre Engineers operate within a critical 24x7 environment, supporting infrastructure availability, customer services, and operational excellence. The role focuses on day-to-day tasks and activities, supporting customers, internal departments, monitoring our infrastructure and new order delivery. The role is based on a 40 hour week onsite and oncall is required on a rota basis.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor infrastructure and respond to alerts, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
- Support customers onsite and via remote hands in line with SLAs.
- Maintain site security and supervise access.
- Install racks, structured cabling, and cross-connects.
- Supervise third-party contractors.
- Complete tickets and operational tasks efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
- Occasional travel to cover our Northampton/Wakefield Data Centers.
What will you bring?
- Experience working in a Data Centre or technical environment.
- Certified Data Centre Technician (CDCT) qualification or equivalent (desirable).
- Knowledge of cabling, infrastructure, or facilities.
- Understanding of monitoring systems (BMS/DCIM desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Strong outcome focused approach to delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Full UK driving license and own car. Resides within 45 minutes of site (Derby DE24).
- Ability to be part of an oncall rota.
