Are you a caring, reliable individual with a full UK driving licence? Nocturnal Recruitment are looking for experienced Support Workers with previous experience of working within a Day Centre, or similar setting. Join our dedicated team with supporting adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex health and physical support needs.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide hands-on, person-centred care to individuals who require significant support in their daily lives. This role is based within a Day Centre, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs. This includes assisting with mobility, communication, personal care, health management, and community access. Your role will also involve driving service users to appointments, activities, and day services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, compassionate support with daily living tasks, including personal care and feeding.
- Assist with moving and handling using appropriate equipment (including hoists and wheelchairs).
- Supporting service users with communication, sensory engagement, and independence where possible.
- Drive service users to and from community activities, appointments, and family visits.
- Keep accurate records and communicate effectively with families and professionals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities or complex physical needs.
- A full UK manual driving licence is essential.
- Empathetic, patient, and committed to delivering high-quality support.
- Able to work as part of a team and independently.
- Hold a valid DBS within the last 12 months - preferably registered online or be able to complete a new one.
- Must be happy to provide personal care.
