Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire SP1 Salary: £13 – £16 per hour Learning Disability Support Worker Job Role: We are currently looking for Support Workers to work with Young Adults and Elderly in a Residential Setting/Supported Living. Your role would be to motivate and encourage clients to be independent whilst supporting them with social, emotional and physical tasks and activities which will include personal care. For this role you must have experience dealing with Special Needs, Learning Disabilities or Physical Disabilities and Autism. With this role you will be working with Younger Adults and Elderly between the ages of 17-64 years old. You will be supporting them throughout the day with indoor and outdoor activities and always engaging with them as well as personal care duties making their time at the service the best it can be. Requirements: * MUST have at least 2 Years UK experience with Elderly/Younger Adults & Learning Disabilities * Have a good level of English (written & verbal) skills * MUST be happy to provide personal care * MUST be flexible * MUST hold a DBS registered on the update service or willing to apply for a new one *MUST be hands on with tasks and be able to use your initiative *MUST be able to work in a team and help team members Requirements: *Ability to work shifts on a 24/7 rota, flexibility is a must. *DBS on the update service. *Manual handling and personal care are a must. *Consistency is key, you must be a reliable worker. *Mandatory training is a must they have to be updated within the last 12 months. Candidates with the experience or relevant job titles of: Childrens Support Worker, Early Years Support Worker, Early Years Practitioner, SEN assistant, Support Worker, Community Support Worker Care Assistant, Enabler, Carer, Care Worker, Care Assist, Care Coordinator, Care Assistant, Social Worker, Vulnerable Adult, Support Assistant, Adult Support Worker, Special Needs Support, Adult Care Assistant, Mental Health Support will be considered for this role. If you have a DBS that is registered with the online update service, we can offer you work more quickly. You must be able to provide 5 years’ references and either have all mandatory training in date, or be prepared to complete this prior to starting your assignment.
