Nocturnal Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead an Ofsted regulated children's home. This is an opportunity to provide strong, visionary leadership that ensures the highest standards of person-centred childcare, delivering outstanding outcomes for vulnerable children and young people. You will create a culture of excellence, lead a skilled and engaged workforce, and ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and statutory requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a fully compliant Ofsted regulated service, achieving and maintaining at least a 'Good' rating with Outstanding as the goal.
- Provide visionary leadership and coaching to inspire a skilled, engaged workforce committed to best practice and high-performance childcare.
- Ensure the highest standards of person-centred childcare focused on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person.
- Demonstrate strong safeguarding leadership, promoting an honest and open culture where safeguarding risks are acted upon immediately.
- Maintain full compliance with Health and Safety policies and all mandated training and compliance targets.
- Take accountability for financial viability and meeting agreed targets.
- Establish and develop excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, leading on enquiries, referrals, and new business development.
- Manage the service's out-of-hours on-call rota as required.
- Provide regular feedback and reporting to the Operations Director on service performance, staff matters, and operational improvements.
- Demonstrate evidence of quality assurance, best practice, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Current Ofsted registration or ability to obtain full Ofsted registration as a manager of a children's home.
- Within the last 5 years, minimum 2 years' experience in a position relevant to residential care of children.
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or management role overseeing care staff.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent qualification, or commitment to achieve this by the relevant date.
- Person of integrity and good character with excellent safeguarding awareness.
- Demonstrated excellence in leadership, management, and people development.
- Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage complex workloads.
- Proficiency with information and communication technology.
- Physical and mental fitness to manage the service effectively.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or ability to obtain).
