We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Early Years Practitioner to join a Childrens Centre Hub Team, delivering engaging, high-quality play and communication sessions across childrens centres in Enfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children aged 0-4 at a crucial stage in their development. Through creative, interactive, and play-based activities, you will help build strong foundations in communication, language, and early literacy. Your work will play a vital role in supporting children to reach key developmental milestones and be ready for the transition into school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver fun, stimulating play-based sessions that promote communication, language, and early literacy skills.
  • Support childrens individual development to improve outcomes and school readiness.
  • Accurately record attendance, activities, and session outcomes in line with administrative procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to deliver services aligned with national childrens centre priorities.
  • Contribute to improving outcomes for children and families, particularly those who may need additional support.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Education (or equivalent) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an Early Years or childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development.
  • Experience delivering activities that support early communication and language development.
  • Good IT skills and experience with data entry and record keeping.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Additional Information

This is a varied and flexible role, requiring you to work across a range of childrens centre locations, including satellite and community venues. You may also be required to undertake some remote or mobile working in line with service needs.
